I spent the last week working in auction rooms, a really interesting and inspiring place to be. full of odd anorak collectors and fascinating objects. Everything from an article on nelsons death from the time of his death to a collection of nazi daggers.

I'm going to try and make this more like a proper blog now.

Just a small post to say my website's offline for a few days as i'm putting the finishing touches to a whole new one, which will have some new work on alongside looking a whole lot nicer.

Don't forget to come see Field Work on the 29th October at 65 Hanbury Street (just off Brick Lane)! It's going to be super good.

I'll have some new work on show and zines for sale at Field Work, a pop up shop and gallery run by Hinshelwood de Borman. Alongside myself will be top illustrator types like Lizzy Stewart, Luke Best, Cornelia o' Donovan and Johnny Hannah. I can't wait.

Mixing it up

Over the years i've become more interested in photography, and as a result have always wanted to include some of my more successful snaps in illustration. In the last couple of days i've been messing around a lot with what i can do with a photo and how i can combine it with my usual ways of working with graphite, coloured pencils and ink.

I'm hoping i can get away with taking this approach for more work in the future!

It's been a hectic month, but everything is up and I'm pleased with it all.
I should be updating the site soon with all the work i've made for the show, thanks to everyone that came for the private viewand those who are still going! It's on till this thursday and then we move a reduced version of the show to London's West End, at the Coningsby Gallery on the 6th of july.
